UPDATED: We saw this article on MuggleNet today and we thought it was official, but apparently it was only an April Fool’s Day hoax. We are so deeply sorry for the inconvenience.
Today in a press release issued by Little, Brown & Company, the title of J.K. Rowling’s new novel was revealed;
Lairs of Lady Po
The press release also included a picture depicting an old 1800s-style typewriter with parchment placed in it. The right corner of the parchment is splattered with blood and in the center, the title sits with our favorite author’s name; Lairs of Lady Po by J.K. Rowling. The picture is very mysterious, but that seems to be the publisher’s aim.
From the press release issued from Little, Brown & Company:
“It has become tradition for Ms. Rowling when announcing her projects to always have a bit of mystery at the onset.’Lairs of Lady Po’ is no different. We look forward to seeing how her fans react to the image.”
The fans are most certainly doing what Little, Brown predicted. The photo seems to give a great hint that the novel will be in the mystery/horror/thriller genre. From the beginning, we have predicted that it will be a mystery/horror novel. What do think of this image? What does it mean? Share your thoughts and speculations in the comments or on our pages. We would love to hear what you all are thinking!
