J.K. Rowling to appear at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, sign books at Southbank Centre in London

The Cheltenham Literature Festival has announced that J.K. Rowling will be appearing at the Festival on Saturday, October 6 at 6:30pm.

At the festival, she will be discussing the novel with James Runcie, the documentary filmmaker who produced the documentary J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life  back in 2007. Following the discussion will be a signing. Tickets for the event will go on sale August 13 for members of the festival, and then August 20 for the public. Tickets are priced at £15, £13.50 for Cheltenham Festivals Members (about $23, 21, respectively).

On the release night of The Casual Vacancy, September 27, J.K. Rowling will be marking publication in this “very special event” at the Southbank Centre in London. Beginning at 7:30pm, Rowling will be reading from the novel and will then be in conversation with Mark Lawson, an English journalist, broadcaster and author. After this, audience members will have a chance to ask questions. Pricing for this event is £15 for the public, and £12 for members of the Center ($23, $18, respectively).

Both signings are limited to one sign per audience member.
