Lincoln Center asks attendees to send in questions for J.K. Rowling event

Lincoln Center has sent out an email to (we’re guessing) all attendees of the J.K. Rowling event asking them to send in their questions for J.K. Rowling.

Here’s a copy of the e-mail:

We’re thrilled you’ll be joining us in New York on October 16th at J.K. Rowling’s event for THE CASUAL VACANCY which publishes in two days!

At the event, J.K. Rowling will answer a few audience questions which will be read aloud on stage by Ann Patchett.  We ask that all audience questions be submitted ahead of time, via email, before October 5.  Please submit your question to JKRquestions@hbgusa.com.  Questions to be answered will be pre-selected and please understand that not all questions will be answered.

We called Lincoln Center late last week asking them for an update on the notification process for ticket holders. They called us yesterday and confirmed that we do have tickets for the event. They explained that they had 1600 calls to make over the course of the week and that all attendees would be notified some way or another confirming their tickets. They told us they would be finished making all of them by the end of the week, so any ticket buyers should be expecting a call.

The event will take place on October 16 at 8:00pm at the David H. Koch Theater. At the event, Jo will be in conversation with bestselling novelist Ann Patchett. The conversation will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience (we’re guessing using these questions), with a book signing after that.

  1. In my opinion they are taking way too long to sort this out. They can’t have 1600 calls to make when most people bought 2 tickets.. I have been in contact with them via e-mail and they asked to be patient…the event is only 20 days away and noone has tickets yet….come on already – we have been more than patient!!!

  2. So I just got the call to repurchase! Be careful because they tried to give me one ticket when I ordered two and I gave him the seat numbers I had for the Jazz center and they gave me two tickets…they will be mailed out….whew……that was stressful!
