The Harvard Business School Club has announced that Pottermore CEO Charlie Redmayne will be speaking at The Harvard Club this February.

On Monday, February 5 at 7:30 in the morning, Redmayne will be speaking to Club members and the public on how he helps “innovate” the Harry Potter brand through “interactivity and community” and selling products via the Pottermore Shop.

Usually when Redmayne appears at conferences he spills the beans about future plans for Pottermore. In October, he announced the release timeframe of the final chapters of Chamber of Secrets, and the identity of the final padlock on the top navigation bar. In early December he appeared at a conference and stated that “[Pottermore will soon launch] a collection of apps, a channel on YouTube, and inflight experience…” Hopefully we’ll get further information on these plans during this speech.

We plan to cover the event if we can gather enough information on social networking sites. Check back in February for our full report.

If any readers are going to the event and would be kind enough to report on the event for us, please email us at pottermoreowl@aol.com.

  1. There are exceptions, but the discussions that take place as part media guru series are typically off the record. I’m moderating the event next month; if Mr. Redmayne elects to put his remarks on the record, I’ll post something here.
