The new US paperback edition cover for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con tonight.
The cover depicts Harry and Dumbledore on the rock outside the Cave, in which they found Salazar Slytherin’s Locket. The cover was designed by award winning artist Kazu Kibuishi, who designed all of the covers for Scholastic’s 15th anniversary paperback editions of the Harry Potter books. The new paperback editions of the books will be released on August 27th.
In February, it was announced that Scholastic would be releasing new covers of the Harry Potter series in honor of the 15th anniversary of the first book’s US release. The covers have been rolling out over time, and you can click below to see each individual cover.
With the reveal of the sixth book’s cover, we have one more cover to go, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Scholastic has previously announced via Twitter that it will debut on non other than Harry Potter’s birthday, at his birthday party at the Scholastic headquarters in New York, NY.
