PlayStation Home has added new locations and capabilities to Pottermore at PlayStation Home, including the Hogwarts Library and the Forbidden Forest, in its third update of the game.

The new areas are advertised in a trailer released by Sony; “Seek out and piece together hidden pages of text in the library” or “Battle against your opponent in Wizard Chess”, as shown and presented in the preview. All the new games seem like a lot of fun, so if you have a PlayStation, be sure to download Pottermore at PlayStation Home. You can watch the new trailer right here.

The official Sony blog writes:

If it were up to you, if there was a single ‘something new’ to be built within the world of Pottermore at PlayStation Home, what would you choose? Would you like to read a book in the majestic Hogwarts library? Fly on a broomstick? Enter the treacherous Forbidden Forest? Brave an underground chessboard chamber for a giant game of wizard chess? Luckily, you won’t need to choose because we’ve gone ahead and built the lot!

As we said before, this is a lot like a Harry Potter MMoRPG, and probably the closest you’re going to get to one. You need a PlayStation 3 console and to have downloaded PlayStation Home to play Pottermore.

Thanks to AlphaZone 4 and the PlayStation community forum for finding this. We’re expect the Insider will be announcing this soon, too.

  1. ive been attempting the fragment Assembly in the pottermore library on the playstation home. and it is quite bugged. i have all ten fragments and literally tried assembling them every way possible. I think that they need to stop adding new content and start fixing the bugs
