The cover for Bloomsbury’s new adult edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been found.
NOTE: The cover has now been officially revealed (on August 27).
The hand-drawn sketch on the cover depicts the frightening Dark Mark clouding over Hogwarts Castle in a beautiful, eye-popping scarlet red. The cover was done by artist Andrew Davidson, who is doing all of the new adult edition covers for Bloomsbury.
The cover for Half-Blood Prince was uncovered on the Bloomsbury Shop’s website by HarryLatino, a Spanish-speaking fansite.
Bloomsbury is re-releasing the adult editions of the Harry Potter novels with all new covers, aiming at a new generation of adult readers. The re-release of the seven books with these covers has been scattered; the first three books were available on July 18, Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix will be released on August 15, with the final two books hitting bookstores September 26.
Today Bloomsbury Publishing has revealed the new cover for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as part of their re-release of the adult editions of the Harry Potter books.
The new cover, which was revealed via their Facebook page, depicts the dragons of the first task of the Triwizard Tournament flying over Hogwarts. The cover was done by artist Andrew Davidson.
In June we told you that Bloomsbury would be re-releasing the adult editions with new covers, aiming at a new generation of readers. With the initial announcement, we received the covers of the first three books. See below:
Covers for PS, CoS, and PoA
The first three books hit bookstores on July 18. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix will be released on August 15, with the final two books to be in stores starting September 26, 2013.
